1/07 WAGS trip

  • Posted on February 7, 2010 at 11:41 pm

I don’t know what’s going on with such high OOP, seems last year I had more that were alot lower.  Oh well I’m still saving alot.

10 transactions today   total oop:  $26.37     total saved:  $256.60  and still came home with  81.50 in RR’s.  Yes I did just blow some of the rr’s I had I didn’t want to have so many to have to keep up with.  So I went ahead and used them on a swiffer sweeper and I had a q for a free refill with the kit purchase, also got the swiffer wet jet and had a q for a free refill with the kit purchase.   My thoughts on this is that if I don’t like them I can always send for the money back refund.  Oh and the 3 musketeer bars were .49 ea and they gave a $1.50rr  so for every 4 I bought I only paid .49  and I helped out my favorite cashier as it is the item they are pushing to sell.  I ended up with 27 (-4 to the Wags employees this am).  7 dove men’s bdy wash, 9 john fredia….well you can see in the pic.  I really wish I could have gotten a couple more poligrip for my “over the hill” gift baskets….oh well we are thinking of going to the mall this week so if we do I wll stop and see if they have anymore.

I went to GE  yesterday to mainly do the manwich deal.  It was 10/$10  I had 2 $5 cats and 6 q’s each for $1 off 3 cans.  Also for each $10 spent (on certain products) you got a $3cat back.   So when I bought 10 can’s and used 3 coupons and 1 of the $5 cat’s  I ended up paying $2 for 10 can’s of manwich and then got back another $3 cat.  So I figure I’ve got at least a year’s worth of manwich  :) and will now only get it over the next year if the price comes out to no more than .25 per can (or free).    The hot sauce was also 10/$10 and I had 7 q’s for that…so doubled made them all free.   The International delight coffee creamer was free (snail mail q).  I couldn’t find any of the small steps last week when it was on sale (and duhhhh I never thought to get a rain check)  my q’s were going to expire soon so I went ahead and bought TP for .69 a pkg (not bad but free would have been better).   The snuggle q’s doubled so I ended up paying for 2 out of the 10 boxes and the others were free…….with what I already have in my stock I should have about a years worth.  With the doubled q’s the sargento’s cheeses was almost free.    The hefty plate q’s didn’t double so they ended up being $1 per pkg (instead of the .50 I was planning on).  I had q’s for the grands and also got cats back for them…..I decided since I already had some in the fridge I’d try freezing them sooo they are in the freezer.

Ohh forgot not in the pic is 1 gal milk and 1/2gal choc milk that was free (why milk contest)

I ended up spending $37. 22     and saved $81.27

Shelf life of various foods & how to store them.

I just found a website that you can enter a food, beverage, spice, etc and it will tell you the shelf life, as well as the best way to store that food item. With all of the stockpiling that people are doing these day’s I thought I’d post the link here.

I spent $198.29 for the month of Jan.

  • Posted on January 31, 2010 at 11:31 pm

and saved $2,548.63. If I’m off it shouldn’t be by much I was really diligent at keeping track of the receipts. Not bad considering I gave myself $50 per week so that would be $200 per month. :) :) So maybe instead of thinking of it as only $50 per week I should say $200 per month….that sounds like more ~lol~
The amount I spent not only covered basics of fruit, vegies, bread etc. but also things to add to and replinish the stockpile, and for making giftbaskets etc.

Soooo tomorrow starts a new month……wonder how well I’ll do????

This week they have the 10rr on the bayer contour meters…..I really wasn’t expecting to find many (if any) but between 3 stores I was able to use all 14 of my coupons so they were free (not even tax) plus I got the register reward for all of them.
I ended up with 119 items and I paid $24.56 OOP My savings were $1,313,50. Plus I received 2 free movie tickets with axe purchase. Also 4 products I bought had 60 minute phone cards in them. Soooo I paid roughly .20 per item….Ohh and I came home with 133 register rewards (started the day out with 22)
Not bad if I do say so myself :)
